Our Stories

Behind each of our fragrances is a story. We hope that these stories not just give you a glimpse into our lives but also serve as inspiration towards stories of your own.

Cranberry & Prosecco

Cranberry Wishes

Just an 8 minute drive from the Tennessee state line sits Georgia's oldest farm winery, the Georgia Winery. We first discovered their wine during a tasting at Bettie's in Helen, but it only took a few months before we made the trip all the way to Ringgold. As a thank you to anyone who makes the trip out to them, they offer a free wine tasting to all of their visitors, which was a nice surprise for us. We highly recommend making the trip over to them, even if only to visit them!

Inspired by Georgia Winery's Cranberry Blush wine, Cranberry Wishes is the perfect holiday fragrance. With notes of cranberries and prosecco, it is sure to put you in a festive mood.

Merlot, Spice, & Citrus

Glühwein

Helen: North Georgia's very own German town. With my wife's German heritage and my childhood of visiting the area throughout the year, it was destined to become one of our favorite places to go. Sitting right on the Chattahoochee River, this cute little town comes to life both for Oktoberfest and Christmas. With parades, colorful Christmas lights, and Bavarian charm, you're sure to have a great time.

Inspired by the wineries of Helen and my wife's German heritage, Glühwein (German for mulled wine) is our perfect fragrance for wine lovers everywhere. With notes of merlot wine, citrus peels, and clove, it's sure to remind you of a warm pot of mulled wine simmering on the stove.

So, whether you go for Oktoberfest for the beer or for Christmas with all the lights and charm, don't forget to stop by Helen's own wineries such as Habersham and Creekstone (our favorites) or grab a warm cup of Glühwein from Bettie's. Then, come join us for fajita nachos at La Cabana, they'll be the best nachos you'll ever have.

Evergreen, Spice, & Citrus

Home for the Holidays

Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, it's this time of year that we often find ourselves taking traveling to be around those we love and cherish. For some it may mean just a simple drive across town, while others venture through Hartsfield Jackson in order to fly across the country. No matter where your travels may take you this holiday season, we hope that you will take the time to enjoy the unplanned detours and explore something new. With any luck, you will find a story of your own to share for when you return.

Inspired by our own family's homes around the holidays, Home for the Holidays is that warm holiday fragrance that reminds you of Christmas morning. With balanced notes of orange peel, fresh pine, and spice, it is bound to remind you of home no matter where you are.

Evergreen & Ozone

Mountain Winter

Following fall comes winter with twinkling lights and hopes of snow. Trips to different towns across the mountains will find you immersed in old fashioned Christmas lights, an Alpine Christkindlmarkt, and a train ride full of holiday cheer. No matter what you enjoy for the holidays, there's a place for you in the North Georgia mountains. As a way to bring a piece of the mountains home for the holidays (and the rest of the year) we are proud to be re-releasing our most popular fragrance from last winter: Mountain Winter.

Inspired from many hikes up along the mountain ridge lines in Georgia and the Smokies during the winter months, Mountain Winter captures the essence of the cold air blowing through the evergreens with notes of pine, juniper, and ozone.

For anyone looking to take the specific hike that inspired this fragrance, you want to find yourself in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Start your hike at Newfound Gap at sunrise to catch the sun rising over the Smokies and then head north on the Appalachian Trail until you find yourself up on the ridge line of the mountains. From there, you can venture to The Jump-off and Charlie's Bunion to catch views that will take your breath away. Be sure to check out the daily posts on the High on LeConte blog to get the most accurate weather at the top of the mountains as well as to find your most likely chance at finding snow.

Crisp Apple & Leaves

Fall in Ellijay

Heading west from Dahlonega down the long, winding road (and past the squidbillies statue) you will find the Apple Capital of Georgia, Ellijay. Full of apple houses, orchards, cideries and more, the charming town of Ellijay comes alive especially each fall as people come from all over for a chance to pick their own bushel of apples straight from the tree or to experience the fun of the annual apple festival. We are excited to be including this charming town as part of our fall line-up as the fragrance Fall in Ellijay!

Inspired by our annual trip every fall, Fall in Ellijay is that unmistakable crisp apple smell just like you'd get from one of the town's own apples with notes of apple, citrus, and fresh foliage.

Should you find yourself in Ellijay this fall and are looking for a place to go apple picking, you can come find us lost far back in the orchards of B.J. Reece. Afterwards, go hang out awhile at their cidery or go wander around the Panarama Farm Market where you can get the best fried apple pie you'll ever have. Trust us, it's an experience that will have you coming back every year!

Pumpkin & Spice

Pumpkin Chai

A crispness fills the air as the leaves begin to change, signaling fall’s approach in the North Georgia mountains. There’s no better way to kick off our fall line than with a fragrance that embodies the season’s signature flavor—but with a twist. That’s why we’re introducing our Pumpkin Chai fragrance.

Inspired by cozy moments spent sipping pumpkin chai coffee at JumpinGoat Coffee in Cleveland, this scent captures the essence of fall with rich notes of cinnamon, spice, and a comforting pumpkin undertone.

So when you’re exploring the North Georgia mountains this season, be sure to stop by JumpinGoat Coffee for a warm cup of coffee while taking in their breathtaking view of Yonah Mountain. And don’t forget to say hi to Charlie for us!

Petrichor & Ozone

Perfect Storm

Ever since I was a kid, I have always loved storms. I spent plenty of time playing outside in the rain, and as an adult, I love curling up on the couch with the windows opened, just listening to the sound of the rain hit the leaves on the trees. And there's just nothing quite like the smell when it first begins to rain. A bit earthy, yet fresh and clean. It took us a few tries, but we have managed to put lightning in a bottle with our Perfect Storm fragrance, for those of you who also love a rainy day.

Green Apple & Moscato

Summer Sangria

Just in time for the summer! This drink is one of our favorites to share with friends at house parties or to just sip on the porch on a hot summer day. We originally discovered it while on a date night together at the Olive Garden in Athens, and we instantly became obsessed with making it ourselves. A simple recipe consisting of a refreshing mix of Moscato wine, green apple puree, and pineapple juice; we guarantee that this fragrance smells just how the real drink tastes!

Peaches & Prosecco

Sunrise Bellini

In honor of all the brunch places we enjoy, we have created a fragrance that pairs with them best. After all, every good brunch deserves a mimosa or Bellini! So, whether you are in Athens eating at South Kitchen + Bar, or you are up in Demorest eating at Yonah Coffee & Café, go ahead and ask them to pour you another one. We won't judge.

Musk, Ocean Air, & Coconut

Aruba

In honor of our honeymoon cruise, we just had to do Aruba, a fragrance that will instantly transport you to your tropical paradise. This bar of soap is specifically designed to be reminiscent of the colorful pastel buildings on the islands in the south of the Caribbean. And while not technically in Georgia, we still hope you take a trip to visit and unwind on its beautiful white sandy beaches.

Lily, Clover, & Powder

Wisteria

Our first scent to be released as this fragrance is deeply rooted in my wife's heart. Initially inspired as her mother's favorite scent, this fragrance reminds her of her Oma's house. Having been born and raised in New Jersey, it was no small thing to move hundreds of miles away and go to college down here in Georgia. Every time she would get homesick in the early spring with still several weeks to go before she could go home, she would smell the blooming wisteria down here in Georgia and be reminded of home.
